I’m pretty sure you own a couple of movies or tv shows on DVD and wouldn’t it be great if you could rip them and take it with you on your iPod / iPhone?
HandBrake is a really powerful tool which rips a DVD into .mp4 files which are playable on any Apple device without any encoding.
All is well until you import them into iTunes and realize that the files are not tagged.
This is where MetaX come in..
MetaX is a meta-data tagger for MP4 files and their derivatives, as well as QuickTime movie files. It has a very powerful search function which will pull in data from IMDB and tagChimp.
There are similar tools like Lostify and Parsley is Atomically Delicious but MetaX has a lot more features and boast 64-bit support for those with G5 or Core 2 Duo processors.
Oh, did I mention that MetaX is a free application?
