Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Let’s begin by saying I’ve always been a fan of Indiana Jones while growing up. Who wouldn’t wanna be a hero and look cool doing it?

I had high hopes when the fourth installation was scheduled for production. That same level of excitement was present when I walked into the cinema but sadly, I left rather disappointed.

Harrison Ford didn’t seem to have the charisma he once had before. Most of the other characters were fairly decent but Shia Lebouf will never be a replacement for Harrison Ford. Irina Spalko, played by Cate Blanchett was the biggest disappointment of them all. It’s probably not her fault as she played her character well but her role as villain failed miserably.

As for the CGI and action sequences, they were really well executed. It was entertaining but there were a couple of occasions which were exaggerated.

The ending left me speechless but not in a good way. Aliens and spaceships? Really? I seriously think they are capable of better..

Indiana Jones 4 wasn’t a failure but it didn’t live up to the cult classic we all love.
