The internet is one gigantic distraction for anyone trying to get work done on his / her computer. Facebook, Twitter, MSN, Youtube etc..
One solution is to turn off WIFI or unplug the ethernet cable. A little drastic don’t you think? DarkCopy is an online service which gives you the ability to write, or type in a full screen window. You might question its effectiveness but trust me, it’s a great solution.
Mac users can use Writeroom which is a lot more powerful. Priced at US$24.95, it might be a little costly but I got it during a Macupdate bundle at a very discounted price. Lucky me!
